    Utility Meter Reader
    • Promote positive public relations.
    • Perform routine maintenance and repair work on water meters.
    • Operate light and heavy equipment.
    • Maintain street, water, sewer and sanitation systems as assigned.
    • Performance of installation and repair of waterlines, sewer lines, roadways, alleys and vegetation.
    • Snow removal, traffic control and storm drainage systems.
    • Assist with garage collection and recycling programs
    • Read residential and commercial electric and water meters and accurately record readings.
    • Complete monthly reading cycles for pre-determined schedules.

    • Download, imports and purge data from the electronic automated meter reading devices and coordinate scheduled maintenance.

    • Perform connects and disconnects of single-phase electric meters.
    • Turn water meters on and off as required.
    • Perform an average of 30-40 individually addressed connects, disconnects, door hangers, checkreads, and customer service inquiries per 4 hour work period.
    • Perform other related duties as needed.
