    Textile Twister
    • Creel machine with bobbins of yarn, following work ticket specifications for color and type of yarn, or notify change crew of exhausting yarn supply.
    • Pull ends of yarn over rollers, through tension guides, traveler, or flyer, and lap yarn onto takeup spool.
    • Patrol machines to detect yarn breaks and exhausted supply packages.
    • Ties broken ends by hand or with knotter, rethread stopoffs, and untangle yarn.
    • When twisting fiberglass sliver or yarn, repair breaks with splicing fluid.
    • Off takeup packages and replace them with empty spools.
    • Tend twisting machine that combines yarn with wire.
    • Record production and worker identification on ticket.
    • Inspect yarn for defective twisting and remove defective takeup packages.
    • Tend machines that produce irregular effects or patterns in yarn by actions of pattern chain or by setup of rolls.
    • Observe bobbins as they are winding; and cut threads to remove loaded bobbins, using knives.
    • Observe operations to detect defects, malfunctions, or supply shortages.
    • Operate machines for test runs to verify adjustments and to obtain product samples.
    • Place bobbins on spindles and insert spindles into bobbin-winding machines.
    • Record production data such as numbers and types of bobbins wound.
    • Remove spindles from machines and bobbins from spindles.
    • Repair or replace worn or defective parts or components, using hand tools.
    • Replace depleted supply packages with full packages.
    • Start machines, monitor operation, and make adjustments as needed.
    • Stop machines when specified amount of products has been produced.
    • Study guides, samples, charts, and specification sheets, or confer with supervisors or engineering staff to determine setup requirements.
