- Operate portable drilling rig (machine and related equipment) to drill wells.
- Extend stabilizing jackscrews to support and level drill rig.
- Move levers to control power-driven winch that raises and extends telescoping derrick.
- Bolt trusses to derrick and machine frame.
- Assemble drilling tools, using handtools or power tools.
- Move levers and pedals to raise and lower drill tools and well casing into well bore.
