    Cooling and Freezing Equipment Operator
    • Stir material with spoon or paddle to mix ingredients or allow even cooling and prevent coagulation.
    • Clean, maintain, and repair machines.
    • Flush lines with solutions or steam to clean and sterilize equipment.
    • Monitor pressure gauges, flowmeters, thermometers, or product and adjust controls to maintain specified conditions.
    • Start equipment to blend contents or mix with air to prevent sticking to vat.
    • Scrape, dislodge, or break excess frost or ice from equipment.
    • Insert forming fixture and start machine that cuts frozen product into measured portions or specified shapes.
    • Start pumps, agitators, and conveyors, and turn valves to admit or transfer product, refrigerant, or mix.

    • Record temperatures, amount of materials processed, or test results on report form.

    • Place or position containers into equipment and remove container after cooling or freezing process.
    • Position molds on conveyor and measure and adjust level of fill, using depth gauge.
    • Adjust machine or freezer speed and air intake to obtain desired consistency and amount of product.
    • Draw sample of product and test for specific gravity, acidity, or sugar content, using hydrometer, pH meter, or refractometer.
    • Measure or weigh specified amounts of ingredients or material, and add into tanks, vats, or equipment.
