Sample Circulation Clerk Cover Letter

A circulation clerk cover letter is a straight shot to a new job at a library doing the following tasks: compiling records, sorting and shelving books, and issuing and receiving library materials such as pictures, cards, slides and microfilm. Such a worker may also locate library materials for loan and replace material in shelving area, stacks, or files according to identification number and title. In addition, a circulation clerk may register patrons to permit them to borrow books, periodicals, and other library materials. All circulation clerk cover letters should include this information in order to garner an interview and a job.

Ms. Harriett Vess,
Hiring Manager
Marvin Hansen Public Library
64 Hill Street
Anyplace, Nebraska 56734

Dear Ms. Vess:

Thank you for posting your need for a circulation clerk at your library on JobBankUSA.com, which I located this morning. I have had experience doing library work before and can start work right away upon being hired, since your need is immediate.

I'm familiar with the duties since I have performed them before when working at Dumont Library in East County--compiling records, sorting and shelving books, and issuing and receiving library materials such as pictures, cards, slides and microfilm, as well as shelving books, replacing worn items, and registering patrons who wish to borrow books and other library materials.

If you'd like me to come in for an interview, please give me a call at 897-879-9999 and let me know the day and hour that work for you, and I'll be there.

Sincerely,

Roseann Behr
