VM Ware Administrator Job Description:
Our client is looking to bring on a VMWare Administrator for 12-18 months (could go a few years if working well with team) to work remotely from home. Resource would require the following
qualifications:
- VMware Infrastructure 3 administration experience (ESX Server, VirtualCenter, HA, DRS)
- Physical to Virtual (P2V) migration experience for a large data consolidation project (50+ servers from multiple sites).
- 5 or more years Windows 2000/2003 Administration and Support experience.
- Good general networking (TCP/IP) knowledge (familiar with 802.1q VLAN
tagging)
- Excellent documentation abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work remotely, be a self-starter, and work with limited direction at times.
Pluses:
- Acronis Imaging software experience
- Spanish language skills
- Linux administration experience
- VMware Capacity Planner experience
- VMware Converter P2V, V2V, V2P experience
- SAN administration experience
