Eclipse Services is an innovative software firm that sells a highly regarded business software system AdPro to college and university newspapers. The key role of the Programmer is to work independently from a set of requirements and a high-level design to create software that is intuitive and delightful for the customers to use. S/he will also provide a crucial link between the staff members who directly support the customers and the senior designers. To meet these goals the person selected for this position will learn the AdPro application, the framework and data structures on which it is built, and the business needs of the customers we serve. Some of the key technologies/frameworks in use are Java EE, Java, Swing, JDBC, EJB QL and UML, and familiarity with both Mac OS X and Windows environments is required.
This position supports the critical work of independent newspapers, and enables convergence between print, internet and broadcast media.
