Job Description
The CONCEPTS program provides day support and employment services for adults with mental retardation in Lancaster County. The focus within each service is on developing skills that will allow individuals to be functional at work, in the community and/or at home. CONCEPTS provides opportunities, instruction and support to individuals for increasing independence in the areas of vocational, community living, academic , social, self-coping, personal safety, and leisure skills development. CONCEPTS also provide services that are designed to work with individuals who have significant behavioral challenges.
Job Duties:
Participate in corporate decision making process.
Manage the program in accordance with regulatory standards.
Monitor program and staff compliance to all corporate policies and procedures.
Serve as primary representative to all outside agencies.
Participate in fiscal management.
Supervise facility operations
Supervise all staff caseloads
Consult with program psychiatrist and other delegated professionals. Regarding clinical, medical, and programmatic issues.
Ensure appropriate coordination of treatment and follow up.
Oversee daily program and staff schedule
Works with individuals teams in resolving individual support plan issues.
May occasional transport individuals in personal and/or company vehicle
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Job Requirements
A Master s degree and 1 year of work experience working directly with persons with disabilities or Bachelor s Degree 2 years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities in an adult mental health program which included 1 year of supervising staff. A background in working directly with individual who use challenging behaviors is highly preferred. Applicants must have a valid Pennsylvania driver s licensed and be able to pass criminal background and child abuse clearances.
