Description
Function: Product Support Reports to: Service Manager NOTE: This is a Junior near entry level position with a great company that is a great place to start a career. Job Summary: Our Service Technicians and Branch Mechanics are responsible for general mechanical service on electrical and gasoline golf cars, industrial vehicles, turf vehicles and trailers. A vehicle is provided for this position and the our Technician will be based from and work from home. Responsibilities to Include:
Performs mechanical services/repairs to golf vehicles, turf or industrial units and trailers.
Performs assigned duties at the branch locations or on-site at a customers location.
Drives company vehicles as required.
Makes deliveries or pickups from customers to provide a continuity of service and maintenance of accounts. Performs on the road service calls.
Coordinates service activities with other branch personnel by providing information from customers from on-site visits or branch walk-ins.
Provides sales leads to management.
Responsible for maintaining all assigned company tools I and/or equipment in the branch area or on service trucks.
Responsible for preventive maintenance of any company vehicle and/or trailer.Reports any major service needs, safety problems, etc.to branch supervision.
May be required to spend one or more days/nights per week away from the branch in support of other branch service needs.
Must complete necessary work orders, parts orders, delivery reports, time sheets and other paperwork required to document the mechanical work and other duties accomplished. Requirements:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Position Requirements:
1-3 years experience with gas and electric engines and vehicle sub-systems.
Must have a good driving record
Ability/willingness to work outdoors.
Must have own tools.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. License and Certification Requirements: CDL License preferred or the ability to get one within 6 months. Additional Information:FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
