My client is looking for the ideal candidate who comes from a manufacturing background, CPA is a plus and can travel 50% to different facilities. Reporting to the Director, Financial Analysis North America, the individual will drive initiatives and provide thought leadership in areas such as best practice, analysis and cost control. In addition to rolling up operating results and working closely with the Director, Financial Analysis, the individual will help coordinate the activities of the mill accounting managers to ensure relevant, timely and accurate financial and statistical analysis and reporting to mill management, the Operating Vice Presidents and to Corporate. Accounting Support o Provide accounting support to the mill accounting managers, to ensure that accounting is in compliance with company policies o Ensure mills are appropriately controlled o Identify opportunities to standardize (systems and processes) Consolidation o Consolidate the results for the North American mills Financial Management and Reporting: o Ensure regular and ad hoc analysis and reports support mill management in decision making o Work with operations in improving and developing monthly reporting on financial and non-financial KPIs o Provide other analysis as necessary Planning and Forecasting o Analyze and consolidate weekly and quarterly forecasts, and annual business plans o Provide insight, guidance and support to the operations during the quarterly forecast and annual business plan o Assist operations with the planning and forecasting process, and ensure that the numbers are supportable Business support o Drive initiatives, provide thought leadership and challenge assumptions on key mill finance activities including margin improvement; working capital management; and fixed asset management.
