Java, J2ee Consultant Job Description:
A major Client of TEK Systems is in search of a qualified Java/J2ee consultant for their contract to hire opportunity in Orion, Michigan.
Project Details:
Consultant will work with clients on-site in implementing software and leading a development/operations team through the performance tuning process in the Software Development Lifecycle. These services will include the following:
- Implementation/Installation of Performasure and JProbe software on Unix and Windows systems.
- Use Performasure to run and administer recordings during load tests and production load.
- Perform in depth architectural, code, and infrastructure reviews of the client?s environments.
- Perform detailed knowledge transfer or training sessions with individuals or groups in a formal or informal setting regarding the usage and implementation of these tools.
- Develop, test, and tune J2EE and J2SE Applications in the client?s environment for performance using Performasure and JProbe.
Job Requirements:
- 1-3 Years of J2EE Development experience
- Knowledge of J2EE middle-tier technologies and basic Administration of WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, OC4J, etc
- Basic UNIX and Win Server Administration knowledge
- Be knowledgeable about modern J2EE as a development framework and all of the common frameworks: (EJB 2.0, XML/Web Services/Soap, JSPs/Servlets, Struts, Hibernate, JMS, etc)
- Have a fundamental grasp of relational databases and SQL
Not Required but a Plus:
- Experience in Architecting Enterprise J2EE Systems
- Experience doing Performance Tuning with profiling tools
- Experience with load testing and QA J2EE Performance Tuning
Additional Details:
This position will be 80% traveling to Client sites, and will also be able to work from home. Strong communication and friendly demeanor are mandatory as there will be heavy user interfacing.
