Job description:
Intertec Consulting specializes in placing Information Technology professionals with Fortune 500 companies throughout the U.S. and Costa Rica. Currently, we are putting together a team of Systems Administrators for a client to work remotely from their home office anywhere in the USA. These positions are 1 year contract opportunities - either W2 OR 1099 (corp to corp).
These positions are 1st shift - day shift with some weekend and night work possible.
To work from home, must have high speed internet connection and a land line telephone.
This client is looking for strong Systems Administrators with expeirence in HP-UX, Solaris, or both.
HP-UX SME/High End support
Resource would be supporting @ 500 HP-UX servers at multiple sites.
Candidate should have HP-UX 11.x skills including ability to design, configure, and build HP infrastructure.
In addition, resource should have experience with clustering (ServiceGuard) and integration of storage management (SAN) technology on HP platforms.
General Skills:
- Skilled in HP or SUN; Linux and AIX are a plus
- Hands-on experience with HPUX builds, configurations and ongoing support;
- Excellent teaming, communications and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work effectively in team environment
- Veritas and HP Clustering strongly desired
- Strong problem determination/resolution skill and knowledge of help desk applications
- Should possess ability to work via help desk ticketing for problem management.
- Knowledge of change management methodology.
- Strong communication and teaming skills.
