Job Duties/Details
Unit Description: The Director, Product Development is responsible for the innovation of new product development and managing the portfolio of products within the existing Market brand. He/she will assist in the processing of research data, cost analysis, development of brands (including collateral materials) and development and execution of on-site training. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, refine and track Brand Standard Operating Procedures for C-Stores and snack bars. Identify and evaluate existing non-branded, regional and street dining options currently in use in Campus accounts. Act as the subject matter expert on the Sodexho Retail Brand Group portfolio of brand options. Evaluate and implement plans to decrease food cost in retail outlets without sacrificing quality and brand standards. Develop additional and refine existing portfolio of brands. Develop, implement, refine and track Brand Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor and research competitors' activities. Educate and develop rapport with internal/external customers and promote partnership by seeking feedback and responding to customer requests. Manage relationships of marketing/sales support team and members of district, region, division, and corporate offices. Proven track record in contract negotiations Manage the budget by controlling costs, complying with budget requirements, and making adjustments when necessary. Preferred Essential Skills and Experience: BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field A minimum of five years of industry experience in progressively complex positions. Ability to analyze &interpret sales and revenue streams, with a working understanding of profitability. Knowledge of product life cycles, category management, and market-driven product management. This includes product ideation, design, pricing, and differentiation. Beneficial Skills and Experiences: Understanding key elements of Sodexho?s business such as the culinary planning process, right pricing, Ultimate Dining, NutriKids and all other programs proven to enhance growth. Travel: This position entails travel within the assigned region 60-80% of the time. This position may entail weekend work and extended stays away from the home location.

Responsible for hands-on production of food for retail testing and development. Will also assist in the processing of research date, costing of recipes, development of flavor profiles, and execution of on-site training. Will manage developmental projects independently as required.
