Responsibilities:
Follett Educational Services, the nation's leading provider of pre-owned textbooks to the K-12 marketplace, has an opportunity available for an Account Executive to join our field book buy team in our Chicago territory.
The candidates hired will travel to K-12 schools and school districts within an assigned geographical territory to purchase textbooks from school's excess inventory. Responsibilities include face-to-face interaction with school officials, as well as locating, purchasing, sorting, boxing and shipping of textbooks from schools/districts to corporate headquarters for processing.
This position requires the ability to work from a home-based office and requires a minimum of 50% travel.
We offer a competitive compensation plan including base salary, commission, car allowance and gas reimbursement, with no limit on your earning potential. We estimate that first year total compensation will be between $60,000 and $70,000. We also offer a full benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance; 401K and profit sharing; and tuition reimbursement.
Ideal Candidate should be located in Chicago or surrounding areas, and will cover a territory North from Chicago to the Wisconsin border.
Required Experience: Required Experience: This is a sales-oriented position. Ideal candidate should possess at least 1-3 years of field sales experience with a proven track record of success. Previous K-12 experience is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
