Job Description:

CDI Business Solutions is currently looking to fill multiple SQL Server DBA opportunities.

12 month W2 only, no corp to corp. Medical, dental, 401K available. SQL Server Database Administrators needed to provide physical MS-SQL DBA steady state support. Prefer DBAs to be onsite in Plano, TX or Richmond, VA but remote, work from home is acceptable. Requires excellent MS-SQL DBA skills (in SQL Server 2000 and 2005) including: clustering, log shipping, replication, database mirroring, DTS/SSIS migration, data warehouse, T SQL and stored procedures.

Tasks performed include: install, maintain and patch the MS SQL software; create, move, upgrade, and delete databases; implement backup and recovery processes; routine maintenance on databases; performance monitoring and tuning using Performance Monitor, SQL Server Profiler and Dynamic Management Views; implement and maintain security rules; maintain state of audit readiness; problem resolution. Should be familiar with change management and problem tracking tools. Must be able to work out of standard hours, as required, to implement changes. Expected to share in on call duty for out of hours problem resolution. Must have excellent communication and customer interaction skills as this job involves frequent direct customer interaction
