Grow Medcos Consumer Directed Health (CDH) business o Identify and analyze new business opportunities o Develop new business concepts o Assess market potential and target segments o Propose a strategy to compete o Determine fit with Medcos business and strategy o Evaluate existing and potential competitors o Articulate Medco competitive positioning o Codify necessary investment o Profile risks and critical issues o Develop business cases for investments . Analyze existing business for growth opportunities o Assess existing CDH business performance o Identify opportunities for expansion, improvement, and realignment o Codify necessary investment o Profile risks and critical issues o Work with CDH team to implement improvements . Pursue implementation of opportunities o Identify potential business partners and acquisition candidates o Analyze and assess them for fit, risks, etc. o Structure potential working arrangements o Negotiate with partners to close deals . Monitor performance of new businesses o Identify success measures o Establish ongoing means to measure success o Report on progress relative to original business case o Identify course corrections as necessary . Keep abreast of the evolution of consumerism in health care o Identify resulting risk and challenges for Medco o Identify new opportunities arising from the evolution o Monitor new and emerging companies in the space o Bring in these new companies for discussion as appropriate o Report to senior management on changes in consumerism and their implications for Medco . Support other groups in Medco when evaluating opportunities and issues related to consumer challenges (e.g. when evaluating partnerships or acquisition of companies with consumer-related capabilities) .
