Major Duties and Functions Include:
** THIS IS A WORK AT HOME SENIOR FIELD APPRAISER POSITION HANDLING SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA AND THE SURROUNDING AREA**
Facilitates automobile damage claim process by appraising damage.
Receives claims assignments from Dispatch Specialist.
Contacts customer to set up appointment to inspect vehicle damage.
Prepares cost estimate for damage repair; if necessary, identifies total loss and coordinates claim handling with Total Loss Specialist.
Documents damage with photographs.
Reviews and applies coverages, deductibles, and exclusions.
Negotiates settlement; issues payments to claimants for repair.
Negotiates with auto body shops to reach agreed repair costs.
Provides supplementary estimates when necessary.
Provides on-the-job training to junior claims appraisers and may lead special projects or initiatives.
What You Need to Succeed:
You must have at least 2 years of experience as an auto appraiser.
You must live in the Sacramento, California area.
You must have a good driving record.
