JOB MISSION SUMMARY These are the professionals who help us build our business in the national accounts, middle markets, small group markets, distribution channel, group insurance and specialty products areas. Their goal is to meet customer needs and help them make better decisions and about their health care and health care spending. RESPONSIBILITIES: - We are looking for a highly motivated sales professional to sell Aetna Medicare plans through insurance brokers and financial planners in metropolitan New York. - The successful representative will achieve or exceed sales quotas by building loyal relationships, by clearly presenting and articulating the Aetna Medicare value proposition, and by assisting brokers at the consumer level. - In addition, he/she will demonstrate the ability to manage his time and territory efficiently.
SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: - 2-5 years third party sales experience, preferably within the insurance industry - Previous experience selling Medicare supplement plans is preferred - Strong communication and presentation skills - Excellent organizational skills - Ability to listen well and provide creative solutions that meet the needs of third party partners - Comfort with technology, including proficient activity tracking and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel - State insurance license - College degree or equivalent work experience ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION: - We offer a competitive base salary plus monthly commissions. - Business travel and expenses are reimbursed. - Position requires 75% field work; 25% work at home office. - This is a Work-at-Home position with home office capability. - Total compensation for this position base plus commission is approximately 80K.
