The location for this position is open, provided it resides in the Midwest region.

Summary

Working independently from a home-based office, will be responsible for selling international trip planning, flight planning, flight crew training, and navigation services (charts and NavData) to target markets.

Work is performed under remote supervision and is evaluated quarterly to ensure that results are tracking towards yearly sales goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Identifies new Jeppesen customer prospects and closes sales of Jeppesen products and services.
Develops a complete territory sales plan that identifies key sales opportunities, decision makers, competitive analysis, and exhibits a thorough knowledge of the regional business aviation market.
Maintains a working knowledge of the Jeppesen products and services offered to this market, and is able to effectively communicate the features and benefits to customers.
Develops and delivers company and product sales presentations, to include presentations that may be tailored to a specific customer’s needs.
Participates in product and sales training courses that support proactive sales initiatives.
Travels to prospective customer sites within a defined territory to present Jeppesen products and services in the customer’s place of business.
Establishes and maintains a detailed customer and prospect database documenting contact notes, establishes tasks, records opportunities and schedules follow-up activities.
Completes weekly sales reports, to include detailed information on prospective customers, the potential revenue opportunities, and follow up activities.
Participates in trade shows and delivers presentations to prospective customers within the territory, as required.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Business, Marketing, or Communication and 6 – 9 years' related work experience, a Master's degree and 4 – 7 years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of five (5) years successful consultative sales experience in the aviation market.
Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible high-level customer experience.
Contract negotiation and proposal writing experience required.
Familiarity with CRM tools such as salesforce.com.
Private pilot's license, ATP, Military flying and/or aviation support experience.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Comfortable working in a Virtual environment (home office).
Willing to travel up to 50%.
