Job Description:
TCM is currently seeking a Network Engineer:
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Duration: contract to hire
**Must be able to complete both a Background Investigation as well as a Drug Test**
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires Subject Matter Expert level design experience with Cisco routers and switches, routing protocols, and LAN and WAN troubleshooting. The applicant must have in-depth, hands-on WAN and LAN design, implementation, and support experience at a global enterprise level. The applicant should have hands-on industry experience with wireless technologies. The applicant must have in-depth experience in all aspects of router and switch installation, configuration, operation, to include directing cabling vendors and facilities personnel. Applicant must be able to identify and repair the most complex WAN and LAN issues. The applicant must possess a thorough understanding of standard and proprietary routing protocols. The applicant must have superior network troubleshooting skills with in-depth knowledge debugging problems related to communications protocols. The applicant should have working practical knowledge of Network Monitoring and administrative tools.
Principal Duties and Essential Functions:
Responsible for various network projects, recommending solutions to network problems, and providing network design options in a Cisco environment. Duties include, but are not limited to, network engineering and support of large multi-protocol enterprise networks. The successful candidate will also perform network audits; perform critical evaluations and develop recommendations with regard to network hardware IOS rev levels; provide escalated support and troubleshooting of enterprise network hardware failures; Develop detailed network specifications based upon client requirements and adherence to standards; Perform network analysis and capacity planning; Perform product analysis and cost justification; Develop cost models/estimates for network hardware/software configurations and prepare and deliver technical presentations as needed.
Will be working from home initially. Must have cell and internet access. Excellent articulation and customer interface skills are a must.
