Surf to Ski Retreats is an online vacation rental marketplace bringing
together vacation property owners/manager and vacationers looking to
rent. We are currently seeking an experienced Internet Marketing
Specialist individual to join our team and help grow our business.
POSITION
Achieve your potential. Our small company environment provides you
with strong, ongoing support. We are looking for an enthusiastic,
energetic, and hard working individual who will represent, market and
grow with a new and upcoming industry leader. You must be outgoing, a
self-starter with strong organizational skills in addition to
excellent verbal and written communication skills. This is a contract
to hire position. For the first 3 months, you will work from home,
with local and daily in person and phone support. Please provide us
with cover letter, including salary requirement and resume.
We are looking for an individual with experience in search engine
advertising and search engine marketing to join our team.
Duties of an Internet Marketing Specialist are:
- Implement pay-per-click campaigns from start to finish; including
budget planning, research, maintenance, and reporting
- Analyze ROI for pay-per-click campaigns and media buys
- Analyze online media planning and interactive media buying
- Provide regular input of ideas for best practices and process
improvement
- Stay abreast of industry related trends and technology
MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage pay-per-click campaigns.
- Knowledge of principles associated with online marketing.
- Create press releases on a regular basis.
- Manage and execute email campaigns
- Identify opportunities to actively market various segments of our
existing customer base through email campaigns.
- Promote website through social networking channels.
- Monitor, analyze and communicate effective and ineffective programs.
SEO RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee SEO/SEM & PPC campaigns.
- Analyze the opportunity for growing organic traffic in Google, Yahoo
and MSN.
- Drive hands-on optimization work, including page construction, site
architecture, content, keyword research and SEO copy writing.
- Understand and communicate the major factors influencing organic
search crawling, indexing and keyword ranking.
- Research, identify and establish link partners for our sites and for
internal linking strategies.
- Monitor new advancements in SEO and evaluate their risk/reward if
implemented on company site.
- Track and analyze site performance.
- Understand the best practices and industry standards for search
engine optimization.
- Manage blogs to ensure content is updated regularly and appropriate
linking techniques are used to support SEO initiatives.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- 1-3 years experience in SEO and/or SEM (both organic and
Pay-per-Click)
- Advanced knowledge and analysis capabilities in the following
disciplines:
- Keyword Research and Targeting
- Site Content Optimization
- Internal and External Linking
- Search Engine and Directory Submissions
- Traffic Analytics and Trending
- Organizational skills a must
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to think outside of the box
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple
planned and unplanned projects
- Acute attention to detail
- Proficient at online research
- Outstanding copywriting skills
- A team player
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Hospitality/Vacation Rental/Travel Industry experience a major plus
EDUCATION
- College degree preferred. May substitute relevant work experience.
