Full-time, work-from-home opportunity
In this role, you will plan, write, edit and submit proposals, as well as conduct research on prospects and foundations, and monitor programs to ensure proposal requirements. This key position requires a professional with a deep understanding of non-profit organizations, preferably in healthcare, as well as a high level of professionalism, organization, collegiality and self-motivation. Position involves performing grant surveillance and new program proposal development to address funding gaps and conducting interdepartmental conference calls/meetings to gather information for grant program proposal development, implementation launches and outcome reviews. You will also be responsible for communicating with program/project managers to ensure implementation, outcome measurement, budget management and project completion, as well as coordinating with the stewardship officer to effectively provide funders with relevant, current information on milestones or invitations cultivation/update events.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, public administration or related area along with 3 years’ professional writing experience. Experience writing and submitting grants to private, corporate, Federal or State funders in a non-profit setting is preferred. Strong computer experience in MS Word and Excel required, as is general knowledge of accounting procedures and budget administration. You will be required to travel to Massachusetts twice annually for planning and strategy development, and hold weekly/monthly conference calls.
