We have an immediate need for a DB2/UDB DBA-Physical Database Administrator
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is to provide Physical Database Administration support for DB2/UDB v7 - v9 on AIX and Windows environment for multiple commercial accounts supported by the client. Good written and oral communication skills are required along with the ability to work in a team environment. The team must provide 24x7 coverage. Some travel may be required if the customers need on-site assistance for DR or other activities.
Although the candidate can "work from home", they need to agree that if required, the client may ask them to work from the closest Client site.
RESPONSIBILITES:
All aspects of physical DBA support (design, testing, implementation, monitoring, scripting, D/R, etc.) are required along with standard Problem and Change Management processes. The resources staffing this position are expected to stay current with their DBA technical skills. The DBA should also anticipate that the customer will continue to migrate to newer releases of DB2
