Very unique work from home pharmacist opportunity!!! The Clinical Operations Consultant/ Pharmacist is responsible for the maintenance of customer relationships in assigned accounts, maintaining a high level of customer service at or above expectations, and demonstrating accountability for their part in the Clients Sales Process.
• The Clinical Operations Consultant/ Pharmacist serves as a Pharmacy operations, Barcode, Order Entry and Pharmacy Operations clinical expert for the clients customers as well as implementation and sales home office personnel.
• The Clinical Operations Consultant/ Pharmacist provides consultation to hospitals considering or using this client, CareFusionTM Medication Administration Barcode Point of Care application during the pre-sale, pre-implementation, and implementation process. In addition, the Clinical Consultant provides follow-up in targeted accounts to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Assists the the client's implementation by providing clinical expertise related to BPOC CareFusionTM Medication Administration implementations. This may include presentations and discussions with key individuals or groups to address barcode readiness, pharmacy order entry, NDC maintenance, clinical issues and/or concerns, or review technology updates.
• Provides assessment of clinical and hospital needs by conducting a Pharmacy operations analysis, compiling and presenting data. Supports evaluation process to assure user comfort and commitment to the clients products.
• Provides clinical leadership to the clients customers during the pre-implementation, and implementation phases of the CareFusionTM Medication Administration application implementation. Coordinates and participates in the development of Policy and Procedures; protocol developments and updates; resource group development; clinical end user education; instrument changeover; and post implementation clinical rounds.
• Provides follow up to the clients customers, according to department guidelines/criteria for the purpose of system assessment, customer satisfaction, problem-solving, and evaluation of the CareFusionTM Medication Administration application. Develops recommendations to assure that accounts experience the full benefits and capabilities of the CareFusionTM Medication Administration application
• Participates in programs planned by sales and marketing, clinical documentation, and marketing research to assist in the education of CareFusion customers. In addition, provides feedback regarding product development and quality, responding to customer calls or questions regarding current product use.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required, Pharm D preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in pharmacy operations
• Ability to make sound business decisions and prioritize and reprioritize activities when appropriate.
• Knowledge and expertise surrounding JCAHO guidelines around Medication Safety and Barcode point of care solutions
• Ability to meet deadlines, plan proactively and handle challenging situations.
• Ability to work independently to collect information from various sources to compile reports.
• Ability to champion special projects with thorough planning and organization through execution. Willingness to support peers and management staff. Very strong organizational, communication and analytical skills.
• Must be experienced with PC applications, specifically with spreadsheet, word-processing, presentation and project management PC applications. Ability to learn and utilize internal software (SAP) packages.
• Must have strong communication abilities. Must be able to interface effectively at all levels of the organization within and outside of the Company.
• 80% overnight travel is required.
