Our client is a small independent consulting firm in the Boston area. They are currently busy with several projects and need an additional resource to help with extra development work.
THIS PROJECT OFFERS THE ABILTIY TO WORK FROM HOME. THIS ORGANZIATION IS LOCATED IN BOSTON BUT THE WORK WILL BE DONE REMOTELY.
This will initially be a 3 month contract, but has the potential to go longer.
Job Description:
NOTE: THESE SPECIFIC TECHNOLOGIES ARE NOT REQUIRED. This is an opportunity for someone with a few years of development experience to learn new technologies and work with some very talented and well known developers in the Boston area.
The application is quite complex. They are using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- They are writing two applications at once. One half is the "service" and the other half is an ASP.NET application. The ASP.NET application talks to the service via Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
- The WCF services talk to C# business objects
- The C# business objects use the NHibernate Object-Relational Mapping framework for data access
- They are using Test-Driven Development (TDD) and doing extensive unit testing.
Anyone who has NHibernate, WCF or TDD experience would be a plus but not required.
