Large global corporation seeks an experienced Oracle Cost consultant. Travel Mon - Thurs and work from home office on Friday.
Looking for an experienced ERP consultant who probably has worked in the consulting world and has been involved in at least 4 or more major ERP implementations and has been a workstream or team lead on at least 3 projects.
This job provides internal consulting and expertise in the business process of Product Costing, Manufacturing Costing and Non-Standard Job Costing, specifically in the Oracle e-Business Suite of applications.
This role will assist in coordination of activities of the following groups at the Corporate and Sector levels:
Controller/Finance Manager – Sector
Plant Controller – Plant
Receivables – Sector
IT – Corporate & Sector levels
IT – Sector
This role will have primary responsibility for defining and implementing the following business processes (as relates to the Enterprise Design for the Oracle Applications):
Product Costing
Inventory/Work-in-Process period close
Non-Standard job (Project) Costing
Non-Standard job (Project) Billing
This role will have primary responsibility for the Enterprise Design as it relates to defining system configurations and processes in the following modules of the Oracle e-Business Suite:
Innovation: Idea Implementation – Engineer to Order and non-standard job management
Lifecycle Management: Service Contract Management, Used Equipment Refurbishment, Warranty cost collection.
World Class Operations: Improved Financial Management for non-standard jobs.
This job supports the whole company in business processes aligned with the following EFA areas: Operational Excellence (Financial Management), Life Cycle Management (Service Contracts, Warranty, Used Equipment),
Typical problem will be: Redesign of processes in Product Costing, Manufacturing Costing, and non-standard job costing and billing, and determining which software will be required. Will be required to analyze current processes, and implement most cost effective and best practice process changes to accommodate the implementation of the next system. Must have excellent project management skills and negotiation skills on process design and change management.
Persons are required to have knowledge and experience of the following Oracle 11i modules:

Fixed Assets (Suggested)
Accounts Receivable (Suggested)
General Ledger (Suggested)
Person should also have process knowledge related to:
Product Costing (Standard Costing and Average Costing)
FIFO/LIFO Costing
Activity Based Costing
Plant Controllership
Non Standard Job Costing
Non Standard Job Billing
Construction in Progress (CIP) Accounting
Formal Education Requirement:
B.S. in Accounting, CS or Engineering, Preferably a MBA and/or CPA.
