ROLE: J2EE Integration Architect
This is a Full-Time opportunity with one of our clients with benefits like stock options, 401K etc.
We are looking for several seasoned J2EE Professionals to lead Integration effort for large-scale enterprise software implementations with Property and Casualty Insurance Carriers.
These implementations are 100% Java/J2EE, built on industry-leading database, infrastructure, and hardware platforms. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and customer facing skills.
IMPORTANT:
* This is 80% travel job and the consultants will be required to work at client site which may be outside of your local area. Project assignment requires 4 day (Monday - Thursday) travel to client site and work from home on Friday. Active will pay for all (T&E) expenses as per company policy.
* This role requires the candidates to be significantly 'hands on' in Java/J2EE, so if you are currently not able to code please do not apply.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
* Very strong OO/Java fundamentals and design patterns experience.
* Deep hands on coding skills in Java/J2EE, Servlets, EJB,JSP, frameworks (STRUTS,SPRING), OR tools (Hibernate, Caster), JCA, JMS,
* Demonstrated ability to define alternative solutions for application/system integration and ability to secure buy in from client architecture/technology teams.
* Some implementation experience involving large packaged applications (SAP, PeopleSoft, etc)
* Experience providing technical leadership to atleast 2 large full lifecycle development efforts.
* Successful 8+year consulting track record at customer sites. Big five consulting is a plus; at a minimum the candidate needs to have significant experience performing big five type consulting with clients.
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage client relationships
* Previous implementation experience in at least two full life-cycle implementations
* Experience developing technical specifications and then implementing those specifications through a combination of custom programming and product configuration
* Experience communicating with both the development and integration teams of an enterprise-wide systems integration effort
* Demonstrated ability to design, program, test, and deploy complicated integration software
* Ability to work with core engineers to review technical designs and participate in code reviews
DESIRED SKILLS:
* Background as a Technical Consultant/Architect at a Big 5 consulting firm or equivalent
* Prior Business Process and configuration experience with configurable software such as Peoplesoft, Sieble, or SAP n-tier web architected solutions
* Knowledge of the insurance industry or prior implementation experience on an insurance related project
* Project management skills along with a successful track record of managing fast moving focused projects
