Their product offering includes a software product designed to save energy and money for their enterprise clients.  There is a real desire and need to save energy for environmental purposes as well as for cost efficiency, and our client is meeting that need better than anyone in their market.  They have unrivalled expertise in helping companies significantly reduce the cost and energy of running their technology.   

They currently seek a Senior Outside Sales person in the Washington DC area to target the Federal Government. Our client is based out of London, has their corporate HQ in New York, but this position will work from home in the DC area.  With already 75%of their revenue coming from North America without a dedicated sales force in place, the potential for success in the US is outstanding for aggressive, strategic sales people.  They offer excellent compensation with significant upside for overachievement.   

 Responsibilities:

Sell software business solutions and services to Federal clients

Create, deliver, and manage a strategic sales plan for territory.

Manage remote team including pre-sale engineers, field consultants, management, and product management.

Visit prospects, partners and current customers to build new and maintain current relationships.

Foster strong relationships with key decision-makers to understand the business needs and our ability to handle them.

Build and maintain a pipeline with 4x coverage of annual quota.

Remain detail oriented with administrative duties including accurate and consistent data entry of every customer and opportunity into CRM system.

Remain professional and ethical at all times as a representative of the company.

Our client is based out of London, has their corporate HQ in New York, but this position will work from home in the DC area.  

Skills:

4+ years of selling high-value technology products and services to government entities. 

Successful track record of consistent over achievement in new business area.

Experience selling directly to IT department/management.

Experience selling Desktop Management, Infrastructure Management or Systems Management products preferred.

Experience/exposure to CRM systems preferred.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Excellent negotiation and customer service skills.

Aggressive business development and prospecting experience.

Must have strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented.

Must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to multitask.

Strategic skills in development and execution of sales strategies.

Ability to understand the business and technology needs of an organization and how those needs interrelate.
