Senior Cisco Unified Communications / IP Telephony Engineer Our client, an established, well-respected high end internetwork consulting firm, has made a significant commitment to strengthening their Unified Communications / IP Telephony practice in 2008, and need an additional architect level professional to help them build. We placed the practice lead with this client in 2007 and are seeking to add two more to the existing team of 5 engineers by years end. If you have Cisco centric Unified Communications (UC) experience, and have led the design and implementation of one large, or multiple mid sized UC implementations, we would like to speak with you. Occasional travel out of region, but rare • Mix of responsibilies - 30% pre-sales, 70% post sales Requirements To be considered you should have: • 10 years IP networking experience including 5 years experience with Cisco voice applications and technologies • UC design, deployment and troubleshooting experience with AT least one large, or multiple mid sized IP Telephony design / implementation efforts under your belt (Cisco Unified Communications Manager - CUCC, Unity, UCCX, MeetingPlace, etc.) • Customer centric mentality • Collegial collaborative approach towards your team. Willing to build experience set of those around you, while expecting the same. Wish List: • CCVP, with CCIE Voice being ideal • Additional experience with network design (FROM conception through implementation, including large-scale routing protocol upgrades and network migrations • Experience with Network Security Firewalls, Intrusion detection, incident response and escalation, security policy articulation and compliance checking • Network performance evaluation and optimization • Infrastructure Project Management Experience with the following is also very helpful: MCSE MS Exchange QoS IP Interactive Voice Response (IVR) These positions require regional (DC/MD/VA) travel along with occasional out of region travel (less than 30%). While you will have access to a MD based test lab, you will WORK out of a HOME office environment. The client has a mix of Commercial and Federal accounts, so no one requiring an employment visa sponsorship will be considered. Cultural fit is equal in importance to our client as technical competence. You should have excellent oral and written skills, and have a strong consultative manner. You must be passionate about getting the job done right, and with keeping customer satisfaction AT the forefront of your concerns.
