Regional Sales Manager

Sabritec, located in Irvine, CA, is a highly integrated engineering and manufacturing company providing special interconnect solutions for military, aerospace, telecom, space, test and measurement, and commercial applications. Sabritec designs and manufactures a full spectrum of interconnects that include Filter connectors, High Speed (Fibre Channel, Ethernet, IEEE 1394 Firewire), Fiber Optic, Coax, and Triax connectors, contacts and cable assemblies. We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to work out of their home and cover our West Coast territory.
Regional Sales Manager
50% Travel
We have a tremendous opportunity in a $10-$20M territory. Your bachelor's degree, 5+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience could put you on the road to success.
The successful candidate will:
• Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals, and advise dealers distributors, and clients concerning sales.
• Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales.
• Review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develop sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company.
• Direct product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
• Represent company at trade association meetings to promote product.
• Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
• Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
• Assist other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
• Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales.
Candidates must possess the abilities to:
• Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Effectively present information to top management, public groups, and customers
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Credibly communicate with engineers and others of a technical mindset.
