Oracle Application Server Admin - contract
My client is in search of a hands-on Oracle App 10g administrator with 5 years of J2EE experience building, managing, and troubleshooting App Server software in UNIX and preferably in Redhat/SuSE Linux environment.
This is a one year contract, you can work from home and remotely support my client!
This position requires experience supporting a multi-application environment, 10g clustering, grid control software, infrastructure server, etc.
Requires expertise troubleshooting issues and performing capacity planning, performance analysis and tuning. Must work closely with applications in order to understand their specific requirements and guide them through the application lifecycle. Individual must have Architect skills – (i.e., define architecture: concepts, design, build, detailed documentation before, during and after task effort).
Individual must be able to understand the various technology areas affected and work with those technical SME's in building robust, stable systems. Individual must have extensive knowledge of and experience with the span of Oracle products (i.e., Oracle Application Server, OID, Grid Control, Spatial, Partitioning, and Database Server). Individual must be able to quickly and automatically provision servers. Individual provides basic technical writing to describe daily operations (template provided) and security controls. Individual will be working in a Team environment and must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. This position requires routine on-call duties during non-business hours.
Required Skills:
* The multi-tier environment consists of both .NET and J2EE technologies (e.g. ArcGIS Server, ArcADE, ArcIMS, and other ESRI products,
* Oracle 9i and 10g database software and Oracle 10g applications software, MS MIIS and Active Directory, as well as Citrix and USDA’s eAuthentication).
* The customer wants individuals that have experience provisioning – i.e., quickly and automatically provisioning servers. They want people that have commodity-based architecture experience with the span of Oracle products – Oracle Database, OID, Grid Control, Spatial, Partitioning, and Oracle Application Server, etc..
