This opportunity will be for a Registered Nurse to travel as part of a Quality Management team to various healthcare facilities for provider review. The skills that are needed include the ability to review medical records to determine, based upon medical diagnosis and treatment received, whether care needs to be continued, and if care is appropriate. This person determines medical necessity using data found in medical records (diagnosis, treatments, prescriptions, prognosis, etc.) and applies acceptable standards of practice in the health care profession and the principles related to the delivery of care to patients in various health care settings. Frequent travel throughout the region assigned for each team. Regions will cover 5 areas of Pennsylvania (Northwest, Southwest, Central, Northeast, and Southeast). 3+ years experience as a Registered Nurse. LTC experience preferred. Educational requirements contained in this field supercede any educational requirements contained elsewhere in this job posting.
