Job Description
A growing, profitable MIT start up which has just received a round of Venture Capital funding is looking for a hands-on Vice President of Engineering who knows hardware and software, to work on their new and innovative products. This rapidly growing company has been in business for six years has recently brought on a very successful CEO, who has brought billions of dollars in revenue to many worldwide consumer retail companies. This Vice President of Engineering will be working with C and for printer circuit boards that is used for one of their many successful wireless products that are currently on the market. Doing 75% management and 25% hands-on coding in C, this Vice President will be building out a current team of four to ten within a year.
Responsibilities include:
*Drive the product development process from concept to production, managing multiple concurrent projects effectively with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
*Work closely with internal constituents in design, operations, marketing, sales, category management and the executive team as well as external vendors such as engineering and software contractors, IP lawyers, component makers and contract manufacturers.
