That is why we are looking for a highly dynamic individual with strong acquisition and negotiation skills. The Account Manager position will be responsible for winning new business at targeted DoD accounts in the US Federal Government space. The Federal Account Manager will be managing account relationships through senior level engagements. They will also develop penetrating sales strategies for profit and pricing proposals, as well as communicate and understand Total Cost of Ownership, industry trends, and critical success factors for an effective rollout. The Account Manager will also be engaged with extended teams in responding to RFPs (Request for Proposals), product transition plans, and resource planning. This will be a home based position in the Washington DC metro area and will require travel 30-50% of the time. Candidates must have professional sales experience in the PC industry or a related hardware industry and experience selling to DoD Federal agencies to be considered.Position Requirements -5 to 7 year proven track record in prospecting, qualifying, and closing new targeted competitive accounts in the PC industry is required. -5 years minimum sales experience in the Civilian Federal Government space is required. -Hardware sales experience is required: either from another manufacturer or via a high end business partner. -Must have experience in dealing with C level executives, strong interpersonal and communications skills, demonstrated team building, leadership and the ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements concurrently. -Candidate must have an entrepreneurial approach that is imaginative, smart, passionate, and approachable. -Bachelors degree required.
