Program Director
Cultural Care Au Pair

In this Program Director role you must be able to think quickly on your feet, multi-task, be comfortable with crisis-management, and provide the team you manage with guidance, professional development, support, and the tools to be able to succeed in their jobs. Adherence to State Department regulations remains your top priority and you will ensure that the area you supervise is always 100% compliant. You will work with and manage a budget and will be required to travel to the area you oversee between 12-24 times throughout the year. You have a minimum of 3-5 years of management experience, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. You are a quick learner, your communication skills are superior and your commitment to customer service and quality is second to none. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and think outside of the box to bring forward new proposals and ideas that will continually enhance the customer service that Cultural Care provides.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage a team of 40-60 Local Childcare Coordinators (LCCs). Includes initial and on-going training, professional development, assisting with escalated cases within region, and
- Provide the highest level of customer service to all Host Families, Au Pairs and LCCs.
- Work closely with Regional Development Director on all aspects of region management including LCC training and development, growth and hiring planning, and sales and servicing goals.
- Work closely with Placement Team to understand matching challenges within region and to ensure that we are providing the best level of matching support possible.
- Manage all escalated cases within region with speed, professionalism and a sense of urgency and detail.
- Accountable for all aspects of the region you manage
- Participate in all on-site trainings for LCCs from your region (approximately one per month)
- Plan and execute one regional meeting per year.
- Ensure that LCCs understand Compliance requirements and that they are 100% compliant in pre and post arrival compliance.
- Calculate and submit Host Family refunds;
- Process and submit LCC monthly expense reports and payroll
- Travel Requirements: Visit each LCC at least twice per year in the LCCs city/area (amount of travel will vary based on size of region); attend one regional meeting per year; travel to Boston 4-6 times per year for meetings, attend all LCC trainings with RDD.
Qualities Required:
- Ability to manage high volumes of phone calls and emails on a daily basis
- Strong attention to detail
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure timely, accurate and professional communication both within Cultural Care as well as with our Host Families, Au Pairs and LCCs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and situations simultaneously.
- Possess strong critical thinking skills in order to effectively manage and provide continual education to your region
- Passion for cultural exchange and increasing customer satisfaction
