READY TO HIRE! Client located in Detroit, MI is actively looking for an experienced Liquid Application Engineer to drive profitable growth through application of products to Original Equipment Manufacturers ( OEM ) equipment / engines. This is a 6+ month contract position! This is a WORK FROM HOME position when not traveling! Candidate must live near a major airport to travel 50% to 75% of the time to the Detroit work site. All hardware, software, training, access to the company's system, etc. will be provided! The Engineer MUST HAVE a BS or MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience. Ideally, the right person will have previous engine and equipment knowledge. Previous filtration experience desired! Responsibilities include but are not limited to; supporting all OEM*s specific engineering activities ensuring that projects deliver quality, cost, and delivery targets. Make supplier, OEM, and end-user customer visits to support project activities. Develop first fit OEM technical application engineering skills and write engineering releases that adhere to Configuration Management standards and guidelines. Collaborate with the Design Group to ensure Customers requirements are met through quality designs at the lowest possible cost and translate customer needs into functional product requirements. Ensure use of six sigma tools ( DFSS / DMAIC ) to support the fulfillment of customer needs and drive continuous improvement through the use of 7-step problem solving tools. THIS IS A WORK FROM HOME CONTRACT POSITION! MUST TRAVEL 50%-75% OF THE TIME!
