My client is a leading strategic energy asset management firm. Founded in 2000, today it is one of the largest Demand-Response service providers in the United States. Our company is currently active and expanding in numerous energy markets including New York, New England, California, Texas, Canada and PJM (Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland).
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
My client has an immediate opening for an Account Executive positions to support our East Coast business. This position will be responsible for selling to clients in Washington D.C. Additionally this position will work closely with our National Accounts organization team. Position will have the ability to work from home (exclusively or partially) or at our regional office. This position requires frequent regional travel generally involving meeting with prospects, customers, business partners and vendors; attending conferences and trade shows; and representing the company at various industry and community events. We require our professionals to be self motivated, results oriented, innovative and strategic thinkers, with solid teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Further, this position requires excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively work with multi-disciplinary staff and key clients while managing the workflows of new clients and sales. You will need to be able to work effectively with people at all levels of a client organization – from plant operators to senior executives – and across a broad spectrum of industries.

SKILLS REQUIRED
This individual should be a confident and professional self-starter, a good listener, comfortable interfacing with all levels of management including senior level leadership, aggressive in finding and closing business, focused on meeting the customer’s needs, and work well within a team environment.
· Professionalism – articulate, honest, innovative, client-service orientated, dedicated to improving the energy markets for clients.
· Professional salesperson – organized, effective at prioritizing efforts and delegating tasks, self motivated, able to work with limited supervision, strategic thinker, able to manage selling process through to close
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to simply present sophisticated/technical concepts to a wide variety of stakeholders including tenants, engineers, facility managers and CFOs.
· Strong quantitative and analytical capability – ability to develop financial projections and sophisticated proposals· Fundamental computer skills – advanced capabilities in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Demonstrated success of achieving sales quota for an extended duration is mandatory
· Experience selling to retail commercial, institutional and/or industrial markets.
· Knowledge of the electric energy markets · Experience in demand response and/or energy efficiency is highly desired
· Preference for individuals with experience in any of the follow industry segments: energy management services, energy suppliers, energy technology providers (hardware or software), engineering firm, ESCO, unregulated or regulated division or subsidiary of a utility.
· Candidates must possess a minimum of eight years of relevant work experience, at least three of which involve direct business-to-business sales.
· Bachelors Degree, preferably in science discipline (engineering, etc.) or business (such as economics or business management) is required. MBA is desired
