Current Need .
Job Description:
McKesson has a career opportunity available for a Subject Matter Expert focusing on our HSM/PHS solution. In the position, you will be responsible for developing process recommendations in conjunction with information systems functions. Will analyze the needs of the company or functional departments to establish priorities for feasibility studies, systems design, and implementation. Develop recommendations for new features and/or modifications to the company?s information systems. May collect system requirements, techniques, and controls to develop product implementation strategies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to analysis, selection and modification of application software, and database management and integrity. Generally requires subject matter knowledge of for practical application of system characteristics.
Scope:
Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet those objectives. Develop analysis to define implementation product and services strategy to leverage practice wide standardization wherever possible. Based on past practice, experience, and industry standards identifies and integrates best practice into overall methodology. Works with Methodology team to develop and administer training for staff in new practice methodology and to populate the central repository with supporting documentation. Assists Methodology and Education teams in developing consulting education curriculum consistent with practice requirements. Works with Sales to identify service needs and deliverables, and to properly set and maintain appropriate expectations. May be involved in sales process to ensure adequate services are accurately contracted. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. Frequently interacts with product and consulting services, industry experts, and other McKesson staff. Interactions normally involve matters concerning practice needs, deficiencies, and coordination of resources to meet needs.
Essential Functions:
Work with customer to "reengineer" their surgery workflow wherever possible as part of the implementation process
Develop and position best practice for use by customers
Work with the methodology teams to leveraging best practice knowledge into our current methodology
Assist with assessment work as part of the sales and implementation readiness process
Assist in multiple projects in a billable role working as a process SME to add value to our implementations
Assist in training staff on perioperative process issues and best practices
Other Skills/Experience:
5+ years experience in clinical/healthcare field, computer applications, designing, building, and implementing business solutions using information technology. 4+ years experience in a specific surgical role preferably in a management and/or change management role; Thorough knowledge of aspects of the OR function preferably in a change management role
Education:
4-year degree with knowledge and experience of the Surgical process in the OR. Advanced Degree preferred.
Location: Telecommuter/Work from home or Roseville, MN office
Travel: 50-75% .
