Part-time. Work-from-home - however meet with our local team occasionally at WWDB-AM.
BACKGROUND
1 years ago on WWDB (Philadelphia s #1 BusinessNews Radio Station) we began interviewing our region s top executive leaders (Fridays 10-11am). A key Executive Leader every fifteen minutes, requiring four per week.
Nine months ago we were asked by our sponsors, our listening audience and the radio station s management to increase our number of interviews and variety of shows to include Fridays from 10-12noon. A key Executive Leader every fifteen minutes, requiring eight per week.
Last month, we ve been asked again to increase our number of interviews and variety of shows. This time, to broadcast Monday through Thursday 11am-noon. Four extra shows per week, four guests per show, requiring sixteen more quality guest interviews per week.
And, we ve been asked to bring our format/shows into other markets!
Following the nationally syndicated Imus In The Morning Radio Show, our audience truly appreciates each guest s participation, perspective and professional opinion. Our guests have included the CEO, COO, CFO, CIO and/or President of AIG, Brandywine Hospital, Chester County, Deloitte Touche, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Franklin Publishers, Global Fit, Healthcare Advocates, Interdigital, K Nex, Lee Hecht Harrison, NFL Films, Oki Data, Penn Mutual, Philadelphia Stock Exchange, Point Roll, QVC, Sovereign Bank, TastyKake, Unisys, Villanova University and WHYY.
The focus of each show is to educate and inform our listening audience regarding the leadership and management issues facing today s business leaders. In 2006 we re taking a closer look at regional growth successes leaders who share their personal stories of what it takes to establish and maintain their enterprise. The interview is truly an informal conversation. And throughout this conversation we ll talk about management style and philosophy, lessons learned, industry trends, challenges and opportunities ahead. This provides each guest an opportunity to showcase their career and their enterprise (i.e. how to sustain excellent through time, how to keep the fire burning after achieving success, etc.).
HELP!
We need your help, NOW! It s easy to research potential guest lists can you EFFICENTLY get through to key decision makers? Get their in-studio interviews scheduled? And can you help us build our team?
We re a tiny little startup Rebecca Blacksmith is our host, Herb Cohen is our Business Manager, Karen Del Marmol is our Associate Producer and Jennifer Shiao is our Guest Greeter.
Can you jump-in? Multi-task? Can you innovate the most efficient, effective systems? Can you get these guests on the air (Associate Producer)? Can you conduct an engaging conversation (Host the radio show)? Can you help sell sponsors (Sales)? Can you tie it all together (Production Manager)?
HOST
Can you structure and keep an intriguing conversation moving? Have a great voice for the radio? The right personality to draw-out our guests secrets to success, and their personal success stories?
ASSOCIATE PRODUCER
You must be a take-charge personality, filling each week s show with the correct number of Senior Executive guests at least two weeks in advance. An invitation to appear as our guest is flattering, however it takes hard work and lots of juggling multiple issues to insure each week s schedule is complete. Radio is a minute-to-minute business. Anticipation and preparation are key.
PRODUCTION MANAGER
We would like to evolve one of our Associate Producers or Hosts into the role of Production Manager, who sits in the middle of Hosts, Associate Producers, Sponsor Sales, Radio Stations and Board keeping everything moving in the right direction.
COMPENSATION
$20-$30 per hour, plus bonus. 8-16 hours each week. Permanent, long-term, part-time. Inside track on Full-Time advancement. .
