DESCRIPTION .
EHR, a national firm specializing in providing remote medical management to hospitals is actively recruiting part-time physicians in the 5 County Philadelphia area to join the EHR team. If you are interested in supplementing your income by working at home, EHR provides the opportunity to use your skills to make a difference in healthcare. EHR Retrospective Appeals Process requires physicians to review medical records and author letters of appeal to insurance companies to appeal denials based on medical necessity reasoning. EHR will train qualified physicians in appropriate terminology and the EHR methodology of chart review. .
REQUIREMENTS .
Job Requirement:
We are looking for licensed physicians with good writing skills to perform medical record review of cases. This entails complete review of the medical record, documenting the services provided, and formulating a concise summary of the case and an appeal argument based on the medical necessity of the care provided.
Retrospective review and appeal is ideal for someone who wants to leverage their medical experience in a new way and learn more about the payor-hospital relationship. The majority of the work can be done at home on your own schedule, with one trip a week into our office to maintain the flow of medical records
