Looking for someone that has a variety of technical skills and can work on anything but has expertise in one of the below areas.

This person should be individually motivated and be able to work in a team environment, sharing information with others. They should be prepared to answer in depth questions in the area of their expertise.

The skill assessment will include detailed questions regarding installation commands/process and "how to" instructions. The core hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday, they will be expected to work in the office with the exception to work at home during off hours with prior approval. Over time is held to a minimum.

Windows 2000/2003 Server, Unix, Websphere (Not a requirement but a plus), Citrix, VM (Virtual Machine), Active Directory, Network Security and Patch Management

Experience working in a large corporate environment. Large server environment (more than 100 Servers), Complex technical architecture. Multiple teams supporting pieces of the environment.

Responsibilities: Daily tasks include imaging servers, installing applications. Provide 24x7 support and troubleshooting. Interfacing with external vendors to get applications to conform to Amex standards, understand. Application processes, obtain best practices. Interface with internal groups to understand project requirements. Interact with subject matter experts, content authors, management, technology project teams and clients to organize and prepare technical materials, best practices, procedures, guidelines, and strategic white papers. Participate in design reviews.

Requirements:

Qualifications: The candidate should possess strong working experience within assigned technical environments including the practical application of technologies such as Windows 2003/2000, VMware, Active Directory, Networking, Citrix. Strong working knowledge of Windows OS's Proven problem solving experience, organization skills and the ability to write clearly are critical. The applicant must have the ability to work effectively with internal, external vendors, and cross-organizational teams. Proven ability to maintain focus on task and deliver within schedule. Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) are a plus. Analytical and problem solving skills. Good communication and leadership skills with the ability to present ideas and influence others. Strong troubleshooting skills. Ability to analyze problems, formulate proposals, and express solutions logically. Proven ability to develop and maintain solid customer/vendor relationships required. Able to manage time and work schedule to meet multiple deadlines. Individual must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities will include: Works with the Application Support team to identify, resolve and address issues and bugs with various applications the team supports. Troubleshoots issues relating to the agency adapter platforms and the associated applications relying on these environments. Overall maintenance and support of the aforementioned environments including software and application upgrades, compatibility issues, and working with our software partners to understand supported software and platforms. Works with software/system support teams to quickly troubleshoot and resolve all reported issues and ensure timely resolution from vendors and follow through on the closure and resolution of all items. Closely monitors all software upgrades. Fixes and/or enhances applications that are built within the aforementioned environment. Work with team members to provide production support.

Bachelor's degree preferred. In-depth knowledge of multiple programming languages, operating systems and databases. .
