DESCRIPTION .
Join our Team! MENTOR Maryland is a highly respected, community-based, therapeutic foster care program. We are part of the MENTOR Network, which operates programs in 29 different states. Our Catonsville office operates a specialized program for Medically Complex children and adolescents. Our dynamic staff of medical social workers specialize in enabling children with medical complexities, physical disabilities and mental retardation to live successfully in foster homes. Medical Social Workers provide case management to a caseload of 7 children placed throughout central Maryland (up to 1 hour travel time from our Catonsville office). This involves conducting weekly home visits to foster homes, monitoring the quality of care to the child, providing support to foster parents, conducting monthly visits to the child s educational site, and collaborating with health care providers at specialty hospitals and in the community.
Benefits include a small caseload, combining office time with supervisor-approved work from home capability, individual computer/internet access, mileage reimbursement and on-site supervision by LCSW-C.
Benefit package includes 15 vacation days, 7 sick days, 7 Holidays, 2 personal days, Health coverage by Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental, Davis Vision and 401K with company match. .
REQUIREMENTS .
We prefer candidates with experience in case management, pediatric health care, or foster care services, who have knowledge of and a desire to work with this specialty population. Our State license requires us to hire only BSWs or MSWs who have a current LSWA or LGSW license. .
