HELP DESK / Network Support Level III
Location: Your home or onsite in Allentown PA area
Must be Mandarin &English proficient
$26-$35/hr W2 or 1099
Work an 8 hour shift anywhere from 6pm to 5am
Complete Description: NOT YOUR STANDARD HELP DESK - TWO KEYS FOR THIS POSITION:
1) English and Mandarin fluency 2) Must work 8-hour shift somewhere between 6pm
and 5am (some flexibility in that range, first shift will not be a
possibility) Client would provide laptop but not connection or additional
phone line. Provides customer and technical support through analysis and
problem solving to facilitate installation, implementation, maintenance,
education, and documentation of a variety of computer and software
technologies. Will directly interact with end user onsite to affect a repair or
solution. __________________ Position: IT Specialist on Lan and Desktop team
Description: The Lan and Desktop team is responsible for the second level
support of the clients PC environment with a focus on the standard Desktop
(i.e.: PC Operating Systems and Applications), Messaging, Network and Remote
Communications problems, Viruses, Desktop and Network Printing, and Software
Distribution. Other responsibilities, as needed, could include; working with
Engineering teams to provide additional testing, training, trouble shooting and
problem resolution, participation in teams to resolve infrastructure related
problems, providing consultation, testing, piloting, training and documentation
for the support teams. Required Skills: The successful candidate for this
position must be a self-motivated, self-starter with: 5+ years of IT
infrastructure support experience Excellent verbal and written communication
skills, especially in English Strong problem solving and customer service
skills Strong knowledge of: Operating Systems (Microsoft) XP (SP2) - required
Windows 2000 - required win95/nt4 - preferred Network Connectivity (TCP/IP,
LAN/WAN) - required Dialup/SSL/VPN - ATT Global Network Client knowledge
preferred Printing queue setup, nw troubleshooting required, Xerox hw knowledge
preferred Software distribution (basic SMS knowledge required), Applications MS
