DESCRIPTION .
LEAD PROGRAMMER/ANALYST
We are an award winning social entrepreneurship that provides computer skills training and jobs to persons with disabilities as well as call center and information technology services to our commercial clients. We seek a lead programmer analyst with 2 or more years programming experience to join our development team.
The ideal candidate must be experienced with object oriented programming concepts and have good programming practice. He/she must be experienced in Microsoft .NET, for development of web based database applications. The candidate is also expected to have demonstrated proficiency in Visual BASIC, MS-SQL Server and MS-Access as well as Crystal Reports. Knowledge of Visual FoxPro a plus. He/she should be knowledgeable in operating systems, Windows API, network protocol, IIS, ASP, XML HTML and CSS.
The position will work with a variety of software projects, both new and maintenance.
This individual will work with existing software development staff (some of whom are persons with disabilities) as part of a team and may manage some staff and contract programmers, so some management ability or experience is preferred. The individual must have some project management experience and the ability to interact with customers independently, to develop specifications, and to manage project and software deliverables.
The position is located in Philadelphia, at both company and client locations. There may be some opportunities to work at home some of the time.
