Job Responsibilities; This position is primarily responsible for coordinating/assisting the implementation of targeted loan delivery products and services necessary to generate incremental loan volume at selected key FFELP institutions, including the transition of Direct Loan institutions to the FFELP with Sallie Mae. A secondary responsibility requires a working knowledge of major Financial Aid Management Systems (FAMS) products in order to increase cooperation and integration with Sallie Mae's loan delivery products. The position requires a strong knowledge of the financial aid process, Sallie Mae loan products and technology, and the Direct Loan and FFELP origination and disbursement processes and associated regulations. The incumbent must work closely with Higher Ed Sales Executives, Servicing, Product Development, IT and the Customer Setup Unit, in addition to school staff in order to be successful. The incumbent will have joint authority to make transition and implementation related decisions as they pertain to assigned accounts. NOTE: This position may be located anywhere in the US and will work from a home office or a Sallie Mae location if one exists. Salary may vary based on the final location of the selected individual. .
Basic Minimum Requirements; ** 3 years of experience in financial aid / loan delivery operations. This may include direct experience within the financial aid or bursar's office at an institution of higher education, or experience within or tangent to an entity providing loan origination and disbursement services to institutions of higher education (e.g., guarantee agencies, FAMS vendors, loan servicers, etc.). ** Ability to effectively interact with senior management; ** Ability to converse in business and technical terms; ** Strong understanding of loan delivery systems and services (e.g. OpenNet, ExportSS, ELM, NelNet, etc.); ** Strong business understanding of loan origination and disbursement process flows; ** Familiarity with concepts and functionality of Financial Aid Management Systems (FAMS); ** Superior communication and presentation skills; ** Strong project management skills; ** Ability to work effectively with a team to meet aggressive implementation timelines; ** Must be able to travel 50% of time. .
Preferred Requirements; ** Product development, technical sales, or sales support of campus based loan delivery products or other higher education products and services, or other non-education related technology and services. ** Bilingual communication skills. .

Hours of Work; Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM .
