JOB DESCRIPTION:
English and Mandarin fluency.
Must work 8-hour shift somewhere between 6pm and 5am (some flexibility in that range, first shift will not be a possibility).
Contractor may be able to work this shift from home. The company would provide laptop but not connection or additional phone line.
Six Month Max Duration is Anticipated.
Provides customer and technical support through analysis and problem solving to facilitate installation, implementation, maintenance, education, and documentation of a variety of computer and software technologies.
Will directly interact with end user onsite to affect a repair or solution.
The Lan and Desktop team is responsible for the second level support of the Company s PC environment with a focus on the standard AP Desktop (i.e.: PC Operating Systems and Applications), Messaging, Network and Remote Communications problems, Viruses, Desktop and Network Printing, and Software Distribution.
Other responsibilities, as needed, could include; working with Engineering teams to provide additional testing, training, trouble shooting and problem resolution, participation in teams to resolve infrastructure related problems, providing consultation, testing, piloting, training and documentation for the support teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
5+ years of IT infrastructure support experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in English.
Strong problem solving and customer service skills.
Strong knowledge of: Microsoft Operating Systems (XP SP2 required), (Windows 2000 required); (win95/nt4 preferred)
Network Connectivity (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN) - required
Dialup/SSL/VPN ATT Global Network Client knowledge preferred
Printing: queue setup, nw troubleshooting required, Xerox h/w knowledge preferred; Software distribution (basic SMS knowledge required).
Applications: MS Office products, including Outlook 2003, Symantec Anti-Spyware (required).
