Company Info: Be a part of the leading provider of automatic tablet counters in the pharmacy industry in the USA and Canada. These counters are used to dispense drug prescriptions in chains, hospitals and retail pharmacies.
Job Title: Contract Electro-Mechanical Designer
Note: This position may allow designers to work from home and visit the client location when needed.
Note2: The client currently has SOLIDWORKS as the CAD system.
Job Description:
Client is in the process of reengineering a small company's development
processes where they need to create drawings (mechanical, electrical, schematics, etc) of existing/legacy technology as well as new projects in development. Need a mechanical/electrical engineer with strong CAD skills to work with engineering and external suppliers to provide detailed drawings, review BOMs, etc.
They might want to migrate to another software platform for CAD system and would like the designer to suggest and recommend the new system, based on their expertise and experience.
70% Perform Electro mechanical Design using CAD system. Drawings includes mechanical fabrication, Electrical wiring, Internal Layout, PCB/Schematic etc.
30% Interface with project engineering, outside vendors, internal customers and users.
Candidate Must Have:
Min. 3 years of CAD/Design experience.
Min. 1 year of hands-on Electro Mechanical design experience.
Some experience with designing the mechanical, electrical and schematics of small precision instruments and medical device type equipment.
Good people/team communication skills.
Candidate Nice to Have:
BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical or any other Engineering.
Some experience with CAD packages like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.
Location: Stamford, CT Relocation: NO Travel %: 5
Duration: Initial contract assignment is for 6 months, which can be extended based on work load and personal performance. Some chance of permanent position in the future.
Compensation: Hourly rate of $20 $40, on a W2 basis
