Skills: Client Application Installer This position performs the installation, maintenance, upgrade and troubleshooting of software products. This support is typically performed remotely, but may be conducted on site should conditions warrant. This position is directed by the Implementation Project Manager. Tasks: Perform the installation, upgrade and maintenance of applications on Unix (Red Hat Linux, AIX, Sun Solaris) on Intel x 86, Sun and IBM hardware. Most installations/upgrades done remotely. o These applications include: RiskTraq 4, Suite Products (Dtraq, EnrollD/Plus) and AccuTraq Perform the installation, upgrade and maintenance of reporting functionality on Crystal Reports Server XI on Windows 2003 servers (Intel x 86 hardware). Assist with client questions on the installation, configuration, and administration of databases, application servers and reports servers. Remotely access client servers to assess client implementations and configurations, and to assess problems. Answer related technical questions posed by MMC client services or product personnel. Other tasks as may be assigned by the Implementation Project Manager. Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience administering Oracle databases, release 9i or higher. Minimum of 5 years experience administering Unix hosts in at least one of the following: Red Hat Linux, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX. Minimum of 5 years of experience deploying applications on and administering at least one of the following application servers: Oracle Application Server (10.x or higher), IBM Websphere 6 or higher, Apache Tomcat 5 or higher. Experience with OpenJMS, Macromedia JRun, administering Web Servers, or java programming strongly desired. Experience with Windows 2003 administration a plus Experience with Crystal Reports Server strongly desired. If possessing any certifications for Oracle, Red Hat, Sun or IBM must also possess at least of the related above experience requirements in an on the job situation. Certification only applies to that particular experience requirement (i.e. database certification may not be used as a substitute for OAS experience.) Experience with Toad and various VPN clients (Cisco, Nortel, Windows). Specific experience tasks: Deploying applications in an application server environment - OAS, Websphere and/or Tomcat. Use of Unix scripts, cron and Unix at command Use of SqlPlus and related database commands (DML and DDL) Configuration of the application server using the web-based tools provided by the vendor or command line interface Ability to learn new skills quickly Ability to work independently Excellent communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment Excellent problem solving skills Ability to actively participate in work teams .
