Job Description:
Company is looking for a self motivated, organized and experienced
individual who can handle all aspects of the planning, scheduling, logistics and
warehousing functions. This requires extensive interaction with their China
based sourcing team, suppliers and customers. It requires experience with
purchasing and sourcing decisions and supplier evaluation. This is a
Work from Home position.
The
Buyer/Planner is responsible for the purchasing of metal products from
Chinese manufacturers to meet customer's specifications. To plan orders
and shipments so that products are delivered from China to the
warehouse, and from there on to the customer. Duties and
Responsibilities *Send purchase orders to Chinese partners for any
materials required for new/existing projects *Effectively create
schedules taking a project from initial order samples through customer
approval processes and mass production *Communicate with shipping
companies to ensure delivery through all aspects of the supply chain *Develop
positive working relationships with contacts at
supplier locations that can lead change and performance
improvement *Constantly monitor customer's inventory schedules and replenish
accordingly *Evaluate suppliers to seek out best candidates for
projects and schedules
