Job Details
Seeking a Sr. Backup Specialist to work independently to generate technical
solutions,
based on analytical skills and business knowledge involving technology,
methodology, processes, tools and solution components. Candidates must able to
recognize and articulate complex problems related to the IT solution being
implemented.
Major responsibilities include: Being able to apply creativity and judgment in
implementation of multiple IT solutions related to project / engagement /
proposal objectives,work effectively with other team members,guide, influence
and negotiate effectively team members, including customer, vendor and
subcontractor personnel, and IBMers from other functional areas, to accomplish
the team's technical and business
objectives and to define the team's role in developing and implementing the
technical solution, including tasks and approaches for producing the solutions.
Candidates must work effectively with a global team. All candidates must have a
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Backup Architecture and Methodology, ITSM
version 5.0 and above, Legato Networker 7.1 and above, IBM tape library-LTO, YS
1120, 3584, ADIC Scalar tape technology, DS8300/SVC, 3PAR disks, IBM p-series
servers and Pearl scripting.

Desired Skills
Deep understanding of backup architectures related to Legato Netbackup and
IBM TSM;Led large data migration projects; Architected and implemented
backup solutions. Experience with working with large databses, lan-free
backup solutions, disk-SAN-backup implementations.
